About the AmeriNZ Podcast<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/a>The AmeriNZ Podcast<\/strong> is my personal journal podcast. I posted the first episode<\/strong><\/a> on March 28, 2007.<\/p>\n

My name is Arthur Schenck, and I\u2019m a gay American-born New Zealander. I was born and raised in Illinois, and lived in Chicago before moving to New Zealand in 1995 to be with my husband, Nigel, a New Zealander. Nigel died of cancer in 2019.<\/p>\n

On the podcast, I talk about my life, New Zealand, and some of the things I see as a foreign-born New Zealander. Politics, history, culture, life in New Zealand, and being an expat are the main subject areas I cover. Many episodes have been inspired by questions or requests from listeners, and I\u2019m always willing to explore the topics that listeners are interested in. Guests on the AmeriNZ Podcast <\/strong>have included other podcasters, bloggers, friends, and expats of various kinds.<\/p>\n

The AmeriNZ Podcast<\/strong> is released periodically, and not on a set schedule. I used post videos to the AmeriNZ YouTube Channel<\/a><\/b>,\u00a0which I also shared on this site. I’m not currently making YouTube videos, but I may do so in the future, and if I do, they’ll be shared here, as well as on my blog, AmeriNZ Blog<\/a><\/b>.<\/p>\n
