This is the December Solstice, the longest day of the year in the Southern Hemisphere. I talk about that first, but I made a wee error\u2014did you catch it? Today I talk a bit about why I do politics\u2014not the mechanics and boring stuff, but rather what I get out of doing politics. Camaraderie is one word for it\u2014and a good one, too. This is a way of understanding why people do politics. I also talk a bit about our holidays (related to the ending time of this episode, I arrived in September, not December, and I DO know that). <\/p>\n
