I have a bit of a sore throat today and I’m kind of out of sorts. So, instead of a real subject I tell you what I’ve been up to and update a couple things from earlier episodes. Actually, there’s a subject within all that. Back next week, hopefully more focused, too.
Archerr will be doing a live show on Pride 48 at 7:30pm Thursday US time (11:30am Friday NZ time).

In assessing the passing of memories via transplanted organs (esp. heart) as spiritual you are making too many assumptions about how memory works. Memory in the body is not necessarily stored only on a metaphorical hard drive somewhere in the brain. There’s evidence suggesting that the heart and immune systems are also part of the nervous system. Even within the nervous system proper, we’ve long known that the lower-level parts of physical skills become stored along the spinal cord. (Brain response time is too slow. Pulling your hand away from the hot stove, or the finger movements in playing “Flight of the Bumblebee” can’t depend on the results from a distant supercomputer, buffered in spinal nerve clumps.)
I dunno- perhaps some feelings really are stored in the heart.
