AmeriNZ Video 03 – Auckland Christmas

For my third video, I thought I’d just show a few things from Auckland around Christmastime. This isn’t everything, obviously, but a few things that stand out for me. In the New Year, there will be more videos where I show you more of my Auckland.

Merry Christmas!

Note:

The file linked to this post is a revised version. The end of this video is silent due to a weird assertion over an incidental background music track.

AmeriNZ Video 02 – Voting Overseas

Although my second video, this is my first official video podcast. Today I talk about voting overseas. US citizens living permanently overseas use the FPCA (Federal Postcard Application) program to register to vote and obtain their ballot. To start the process, go to www.VoteFromAbroad.org. Voter registration deadlines in all states are approaching fast, so hurry! This video podcast let’s me share something unusual toward the end.

Clarification: The materials I show you are used in Chicago. Other places in the US may do things differently. Also, because of the slowness of international mail, it’s important to get your registration paperwork filed as quickly as possible: Don’t wait until just before your state’s registration deadline.

AmeriNZ Video 01 – My New Zealand

This is my first video, though technically it’s just a kind of slide show. But I wanted to share some of the special places I’ve been in New Zealand, and this seemed like a good way to start doing videos. In future videos I’ll show you more of my New Zealand.
