AmeriNZ 310 – Winterish

amerinz_podcast_150x150After a little bit of weather talk, I begin the first topic, a recap of my periodontal procedures. More recently, I had a gout attack in my hand. Sigh. Then, I talk about a couple things in the New Zealand news and one from Australia, too.

Check out the new AmeriNZ Facebook Page!

AmeriNZ 309 – Nine

amerinz_podcast_150x150Things I talked about last time have resolved themselves, and that’s where I begin today. New Zealand’s result in the ICC Cricket World Cup is first, followed by the Northland By-election. A peculiarity in New Zealand law caused some issues when I posted the previous episode. I have a personal development in NZ politics to share. Then, I talk about a couple new items in the news.

AmeriNZ 308 – Eight

amerinz_podcast_150x150So much has happened since my last podcast that “I scarcely know where to begin.” I start out with my own news (hey, it IS my podcast…), more tooth drama. Sigh. Then, a more serious health issue that wasn’t mine. I also talk about the By-election in the Northland Electorate. I was interrupted at one point by a salesperson knocking on the door. Can you spot it? Anyway, in happier news, we’re all excited about the New Zealand Black Caps making it to the ICC Cricket World Cup Final for the first time ever. We play Australia on Sunday. Finally, an explanation of the title of this episode and related topics. Cryptic enough?

AmeriNZ 307 – Selfie

AmeriNZ_Podcast_Ep307A new year, and my birthday is over. An audio clip about that begins this episode before I go on to talking about what we did on our summer holiday. We didn’t do much, really! It was good, though. Toward the end, I talk about some of the things I’m planning for this year. I’ll be making videos, just not quite yet—well, not ones with me in them, at least, because I may do some other ones. You may notice that I’m putting my stuff under my name, rather than my “AmeriNZ” brand. I talk about that evolution.

AmeriNZ 306 – Solstice

This is the December Solstice, the longest day of the year in the Southern Hemisphere. I talk about that first, but I made a wee error—did you catch it? Today I talk a bit about why I do politics—not the mechanics and boring stuff, but rather what I get out of doing politics. Camaraderie is one word for it—and a good one, too. This is a way of understanding why people do politics. I also talk a bit about our holidays (related to the ending time of this episode, I arrived in September, not December, and I DO know that).

AmeriNZ 305 – Third

This is the third episode of 2014, and the first in seven months. Do I remember how to do this? Well, I did, more or less, but I had some sound issues and re-recorded this again (again) today.

A lot has happened since we last spoke: The NZ elections, lots of NZ news and I met Auntie Vera. I talk about what happened in the election (but not too much scary political stuff). This is the main topic today because it was the main thing that took up my year. Then, I talk about some things in the news—updates to things I’ve talked about in previous episodes..

AmeriNZ 304 – May

amerinz_podcast_150x150This is the first episode of the eighth year of the AmeriNZ Podcast. Finally. First up, there was a crime in our neighbourhood. After that, I update things I talked about last time, specifically, the NZ election campaign and my tooth-related stuff. The election talk is first. Finally, I have a voicemail number: (206) 426-5394. I know—shocking. Update: The voicemail number is discontinued.

AmeriNZ 303 – SEVEN

amerinz_podcast_150x150Today is the seventh anniversary of the AmeriNZ Podcast! It’s such a big deal that I had to put the number in ALL CAPS in today’s title—because, many people probably never thought I’d make it. I thought this was a good time to resume recording. So, what have I been up to? Some old stuff first, then on to the new, starting with my driver license expired. That led to discovery. A visit to the dentist let’s me reveal stuff.

AmeriNZ 302 – I survived

I’ve been busier busy than usual. First, we got married. Then, there was the reorganising of “stuff”. There will be more of that. In NZ news, the Labour Leadership was decided, and the main islands have names. I’ll be back sooner rather than later, but I’m not silly enough to promise when that may be.

AmeriNZ 301 – Return

Well, I’m back, again. Again. Today catches us up on stuff, starting with things in the New Zealand news. There’s actually quite a lot to go over, and I do. Then, it’s on to some of what I’ve been up to since my last episode. There’s been a bit of that, too.

Well, we’re AGAIN all caught up—shall we move forward? Yes, I think so.
